THE PERMANENT SECRETARIAT OF THE WESTERN BALKAN CHAMBER INVESTMENT FORUM HAS BEEN OPENED

In the framework of the Summit on the Western Balkans, the Permanent Secretariat of the Western Balkan Chamber Investment Forum opened today in Trieste - the first joint institution in the region that was established by six chambers of commerce. The focus of the work of the Secretariat will be to strengthen regional economic initiatives, to strengthen connections of business entities, to remove the barriers to more successful doing business and to more effectively support the strengthening of th

"The business community is looking for concrete solutions. We define our goals and we will measure the future results with completely concrete criteria - by simplifying administrative procedures, by solving the challenges that companies face and by improving the efficiency of doing business," said Marko Čadež, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia.

Čadež emphasized that the Secretariat will deal with regional economic initiatives and advocacy for the business community through recommendations to governments to improve trade, investments and business operations. The activities of this body will be focused on promotion of the region as an investment destination and connecting of small and medium-sized enterprises for inclusion in the supply chains of multinational companies. more

BUSINESS DELEGATION FROM THE CHINESE PROVINCE OF HUNAN 

Business delegation from the Chinese province of Hunan, visited the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Belgrade Chamber of Commerce and met with local companies in the industry, wastewater treatment, mining and construction. 

Members of the delegation were greeted by Svetozar Krstic, adviser at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, who pointed out that 18 signed cooperation agreements with Chinese chambers of commerce and institutions sufficiently testify to the intensive and good business communication between the two countries. On the guests from China about the organization of the new, improved chamber system in Serbia and stressed that the networking and business meetings are key to achieving and implementing business arrangements. more

BUSINESS FORUM ON BILATERAL COOPERATION OF BELGRADE AND MOSCOW: OPPORTUNITIES FOR NEW INVESTMENTS

ICT, infrastructural projects, agriculture and tourism are the most promising sectors for the development of the cooperation between Belgrade and Moscow, according to conclusions of today’s meeting In Sava centre in Belgrade.
Business forum, attended by more than 200 Russian and Serbian businessmen, was organized by City of Belgrade and Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, within the manifestation “Moscow days in Belgrade”.
After the plenary session and the presentation of business and investment potentials and capacities of Moscow and Belgrade, two panel discussions were held, followed by bilateral meetings of Russian and Serbian businessmen. more

THE SERBIAN DELEGATION AT THE FORUM IN CHINA

State-business delegation of the Republic of Serbia, in the period from 26 to 28 September 2016, took part in the 1st Shenzhen - Countries of Central and Eastern Europe economic, trade and cultural forum of leaders of the region and the provinces within the framework of the mechanism PR China and 16 Countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
The economic part of the delegation led by the Vice President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and President of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce Milivoje Miletic, a participation of 15 Serbian took the leading companies and institutions in various fields, with the aim of finding a partner for placement of Serbian products on the Chinese market, as well as partners for joint production and exports to third markets. more

STATEMENT OF COOPERATION OF BELGRADE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND BEIJING INVESTMENT PROMOTION BUREAU, CHINA

The President of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce Mr. Milivoje Miletic and the representative of Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau Mr. Zhang Tong signed today, during the Industrial and business Forum held in Belgrade, the Statement of cooperation.
The main topics of the Forum were the presentations of economic potentials of P. R. China’s and Serbia’s capitals. The plenary session was attended by the President of the Assembly of the City of Belgrade, Mr. Nikola Nikodijevic, H.E. Li Manchang, Ambassador of China in Serbia, the President of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal People's Congress Mr. Du Deyin, and numerous business representatives from China and Serbia.
Deyin and Nikodijevic emphasized the importance of Prime Minister Mr. Li Keqiang’s visits to Serbia in the context of development of the cooperation of two countries, especially in the field of economy. Chinese business community expressed great interest for the participation in projects of the construction of Belgrade Bypass and the new Bus station. more

PRESIDENT OF VIENNA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY VISITED BELGRADE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

President of Vienna Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Walter Ruck and his associates visited the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, where they met with the President of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Milivoje Miletic.
In the dialogue of the presidents of two chambers of friendly cities, that have signed the Cooperation Agreement of two years ago, information on the possibilities of development of economic cooperation between Austria and Serbia were exchanged.
President of Vienna Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who led the delegation of 22 Austrian companies during his visit to the Belgrade, was interested in final stage of process of privatization in Serbia and in new strategic partnership between Serbian and Austrian companies.   more
