A meeting with the representatives from Russian Federation was held in the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, on January 26th, 2010. This event was attended by Mr. Vladimir Grišin, Director of Russian Chamber of Trade and Industry in Serbia, Mr. Aleksandr Šorohov, Consultant in the representative office of Russian Federation for trade and economic issues in the Republic of Serbia and the representatives from the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce.

The purpose of the meeting was to find best modalities for the promotion of the economic cooperation between Republic of Serbia and Russian Federation.

The representatives of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce informed the guests on current situation in the fields of the trade sector, agriculture, electro industry and shareholding, as well as on basic economic indicators of Serbia and Belgrade.

The both sides agreed to make efforts to increase foreign exchange level between Republic of Serbia and Russian Federation, by creation of joint ventures, logistic and info centers.

It has been also agreed to initiate the cooperation in the field of information and education on conditions that must be fulfilled for the placement of Serbian products on  Russian market and on mandatory possession of GOST-R certificate, with the aim of more efficient use of Free Trade Cooperation Agreement between Republic of Serbia and Russian Federation.
